Publish your changes

Publishing sends your saved changes to every TV and phone guide for the property. Screens pick it up within seconds, or within 15 minutes if it has been a while.

Saving keeps your changes safe in the dashboard, but publishing is what actually puts your updates in front of guests on room TVs and mobile guides.

Publish

  1. Select Publish at the top of the dashboard.
  2. Bienvue displays What's changing, showing you a clear list of added, edited, or removed cards, sections, settings, and theme styles.
  3. The dashboard also reviews your guide for any errors. Items listed under Recommendations are safe to publish anyway, like a restaurant recommendation that does not have photos yet. If there are critical issues flagged, you will need to fix them before publishing.
  4. Select Publish to send out your updates.

Once all your edits are live, the button updates to say Everything is published.

When guests see it

  • Phone guides refresh with your new version right away.
  • TVs check for updates every 10 seconds for the first hour after you publish, and every 15 minutes after that. This means recent edits appear on TVs within seconds, while older edits appear within 15 minutes. The publish screen tells you which timing applies.
  • Offline TVs catch up automatically the moment they reconnect to the internet.
  • Your public page updates as well, displaying your latest intro and any Place cards marked public. See Your public page.

Things it may flag

  • No timezone: set your property timezone in Settings so checkout times and expiring links calculate correctly.
  • Weather postcode not found: your weather card will stay hidden until you provide a US ZIP code Bienvue can locate.
  • A place with no photos: guests will see your helpful text description without an image.
  • A card set to open with nothing to open: the card simply publishes as a glance-only card without an extra screen.

If it doesn't work

  • A TV still shows the old guide after 15 minutes: verify that the TV is connected to Wi-Fi and listed on the Devices page. You can exit and reopen Bienvue on the TV to make it look for updates immediately.
  • You paired a TV before publishing anything: just hit publish once. Every screen tied to your property will load the guide, including screens you add in the future.
