Your public page

A public webpage showcasing your welcome introduction and selected places. It updates when you publish, and paid plans can customize its web address.

Your public page is an open webpage that anyone on the internet can read. It is the perfect place to show prospective guests what makes your area special before they book, and it is the only part of your guide indexed by search engines.

What's on it

Your public page shows two things:

  • Your introduction, written on the Sharing page. Because this note is publicly visible to everyone, write it to welcome future guests who are thinking about booking a stay.
  • Place cards you have marked public. When editing any Place card on the Content page, switch on Show on your public page. Only Place cards include this switch because local recommendations are safe to share with everyone.

Private information like Wi-Fi passwords, front door codes, and checkout instructions are never shown on your public page. Those private details stay safely tucked inside the protected guest links you send after booking.

Turn it on or off

On the Sharing page, toggle the Public page switch:

  • On: your page receives an address, displayed beneath the switch. On the free plan, the web address combines your property name with a few random letters, such as guide.bienvue.app/the-cedar-house-k3m9. On a paid plan, it cleanly reflects your property name.
  • Off: your public page and its address stop working immediately, but the address remains reserved for you. If you switch it back on later, your original link starts working again.

If your TV screensaver was previously set to show a QR code for the public page, turning off the page will automatically reset your screensaver to No code.

Choose your own address (paid plans)

With a paid plan, an Address box appears right below the switch. Type your preferred link name and select Save. If you change it in the future, your previous web addresses will automatically forward to the new one so old links never break; these will appear under "Still working". On the free plan, the link is created automatically from your property name and cannot be customized.

It changes when you publish

Just like your TV screens, your public page displays your latest published content. If you write a new welcome note or mark a Place card public, those updates will go live as soon as you select Publish. The publish preview screen will highlight your updated note as "public page introduction". You can always click Preview the page to review your public layout before pushing it live.

Keep in mind that if you have never published your property guide, your public page will not exist yet.

If it doesn't work

  • "That address is already taken or invalid": pick another address name. Valid addresses contain only letters, numbers, and dashes.
  • "Nothing is on it yet": write an introduction on the Sharing page or toggle a Place card to public, then publish your guide.
  • A change isn't on the page: make sure you clicked Publish to push your edits live.
  • "Choosing your page's address comes with a paid plan": upgrading to a paid tier lets you customize your web address. See Plans and pricing.
