Rather than typing out every local recommendation by hand, you can let Bienvue scan the neighborhood around your property and discover popular local spots that you can turn into Place cards with a single click.
Search
- On the Content page, select Add. You will find Find places nearby right under the starter suggestions.
- Enter your property's Address, and select your search radius under Search within: 1, 2, 4, 10, or 20 miles.
- Select Find places.
Bienvue returns organized suggestions categorized under Coffee, Groceries, Dinner, Sights, and A walk, including exact distances from your doorstep. Restaurants, scenic sights, and parks highlight the most well-known spots across your chosen radius; if you prefer strictly hyper-local options within walking distance, choose a smaller search radius.
Add a place
- Select Add next to any recommended spot. The card editor opens right away while Bienvue pulls in the details.
- Bienvue automatically fills in matching data from OpenStreetMap, including the business name, street address, map coordinates, official website, and operating hours. It even drafts a one-line AI description for you. Always look over the fields before saving, as noted on screen: "Filled from OpenStreetMap. Check the details before saving."
- Next to the form, Google Maps information is shown for comparison so you can be confident you picked the right spot. Enter any personal tips you want guests to see; Bienvue never copies text from Google directly into your cards.
- Select Save card, and then publish when you are ready.
If OpenStreetMap does not have data for that business, Bienvue lets you know and leaves the form open so you can add details from your own notes.
If there are places you do not wish to recommend, click Dismiss place. Any spots you have already saved to your guide are clearly marked Added.
Come back later, or on another device
Your raw search results are not stored permanently. When you return later, select Show them again to refresh the list; Bienvue remembers all your added and dismissed places. Selecting Search again reruns the search at any time, which helps you catch newly opened restaurants in town.
Selecting Search a different address lets you start fresh with an updated location or radius. Any cards you already created remain safely on your guide.
Limits
Each search counts against a daily property allowance that resets every night at midnight UTC:
- Free plan: 5 searches per day for each property.
- Paid plans: 20 searches per day for each property.
Both searching again and clicking Show them again count against this daily total because each request queries location services. Searches that fail to find a valid address do not count.
On the free plan, once you add a place from your search results, you can change your search address up to three times per property. Correcting a spelling mistake or adjusting your search radius before adding cards is always free. Paid plans allow unlimited address changes.
If it doesn't work
- "We couldn't find that address": try including your city, state, or ZIP code for better accuracy.
- "No places found near that address": expand your search radius, or create a Place card manually.
- "The free plan includes 5 searches a day for each property" or "That's the most searches a property can run in a day": your daily allowance resets at midnight UTC, or you can upgrade to expand your search limits.
- "You've used the address changes the free plan includes": upgrade your plan for unlimited address changes, or reach out to support@bienvue.com.
- "Too many searches. Wait a minute, then try again.": this is a temporary safety cooldown, so pause for a minute before trying again.
- Something went wrong and the search didn't finish: try running the search once more. Incomplete searches that fail to reach location services do not deduct from your daily count.
