Sign-in methods and your password

Sign in using a password, Google, or Apple. Update passwords in Edit profile or reset a forgotten password from the login screen.

You can customize how you log in by visiting Edit profile from the profile menu.

Sign-in methods

Bienvue supports signing in with a standard Password, Google, or Apple, and you can connect multiple methods to the same profile. Under Sign-in methods:

  • Connect: links your Google or Apple account for fast single-click logins.
  • Remove: disconnects a login provider. Because you must always have at least one active way to log in, you cannot remove your sole sign-in method until you connect another provider or create a password.

Change your password

Under Password, enter your Current password followed by your new password twice, then select Change password. Passwords must contain at least 8 characters. When you update your password, your current browser session stays logged in while all other devices are signed out automatically for security.

If you originally signed up with Google or Apple, your account does not have a password yet. Selecting Set password allows you to create one, giving you the choice to log in with your email address and password whenever you like.

Forgot your password

On the main sign-in page, select the option to reset your password and type in your email address. Bienvue will email you a password reset link right away. If the email does not show up within a couple of minutes, check your spam or junk folder, or request another link.

Passwords Bienvue won't accept

To protect your account against automated attacks, Bienvue screens new passwords against public databases of credentials exposed in third-party data breaches. This security check happens securely without ever transmitting your actual password text. If your chosen password appears on a breach list, the system displays "That password has shown up in a known data breach" and prompts you to choose a safer alternative.

Confirming it's you

Before performing sensitive administrative actions (such as updating your primary email address or deleting a property), Bienvue asks you to Confirm it's you using your password or two-factor code. Once confirmed, you will not be asked again for 10 minutes. If you primarily log in with Google or Apple, select Email me a code to receive a one-time six-digit security code in your inbox instead.

If it doesn't work

  • "We couldn't connect that account": that specific Google or Apple account is already attached to another Bienvue profile. Disconnect it from that other account first.
  • Google or Apple sign-in fails: try clicking the social login button again, or sign in using your standard email address and password.
  • "The two new passwords do not match": ensure both password boxes contain the exact same characters.
