The Theme page lets you style your guide so it matches your property's personality on TV screens. Every plan allows you to customize your background and palette colors, while custom logos are included with paid subscriptions.
Background
Your chosen background sits behind all your cards and menus. You can pick from three options:
- Dawn: Bienvue's signature landscape artwork, which serves as the default style.
- Generated: a clean digital landscape drawn using your chosen palette colors. You can tune the Sky, Horizon, Ridges, and Sun, as well as toggle Show the sun.
- A photo: select a favorite picture from your photo library or upload a new one. The clock in the screen corner automatically tints itself to match the photo while staying clearly readable.
Colors
The Palette section defines the color scheme across your screens:
- Hero: styles the main page header and highlighted cards.
- Cards: colors your selected cards and detailed view pages.
- Focus: highlights whatever card or button your guest is currently clicking.
If two colors blend together and make text hard to read, Bienvue provides a friendly contrast warning, such as "1 color is low on contrast". You are still free to save the theme if you like the look. If you ever want to return to default colors, click Reset to Dawn to restore the original styling.
Logo (paid plans)
Adding your logo places your branding in the top-left corner of the TV screen in place of the Bienvue mark.
- Upload a transparent PNG file that measures at least 42 pixels tall. For crisp results on 4K televisions and print sheets, use an image 360 pixels tall or larger. Bienvue never alters or recolors your logo file, so choose light artwork for dark backgrounds and dark artwork for light backgrounds. The Theme page indicates which style looks best on Dawn and generated scenes. Extra-wide logos will scale down automatically to fit neatly.
- Selecting Use the Bienvue mark removes your custom logo.
Guides on the free plan always display the Bienvue mark. If you uploaded a custom logo while on a paid plan and later downgrade to the free plan, your existing logo remains in place and can be removed, but you cannot replace it with a new file unless you renew a paid plan.
Save and publish
Once you are happy with your styling, select Save theme, and then publish your guide. Just like editing cards, theme updates take effect on your screens as soon as you publish.
If it doesn't work
- "Logos must be in PNG format with a transparent background": save or export your artwork as a transparent PNG file.
- "That logo is … tall": supply a higher-resolution version of your logo that meets the minimum height.
- "That file is over 20 MB": compress or resize your file below the 20 MB limit.
- "Your own logo comes with a paid plan": custom logos require a paid subscription, while free plans display the Bienvue logo. See Plans and pricing.
- The TV still shows the old look: make sure you clicked Publish, and give your screens up to 15 minutes to pull the latest styles.
